The Build-Ready Standard™

Every plan meets four tests.

Before any drawing leaves the studio, it has to pass the Build-Ready Standard. It's the difference between a pretty picture and a plan a contractor can build from on day one.

  1. 01 / BID-ABLE

    Bid-able.

A contractor can quote it without follow-up calls. Every dimension, material, and quantity is on the page.

That means a real plant schedule, "7 × dwarf yaupon holly, 3-gallon", not "add some shrubs here." It means hardscape with square footage and edge detail, so three contractors bidding the same plan land within range of each other instead of guessing wildly.

  2. 02 / BUILD-ABLE

    Build-able.

Every plant is native or zone-appropriate. Every material is locally available. Drainage and code are accounted for.

We don't spec a plant your nursery can't source or one that dies in your soil. We check how water leaves the site before we place a bed. If the city has a landscape ordinance, the plan already answers to it.

  3. 03 / BEAUTIFUL

    Beautiful.

Drawn by a named human, not auto-generated. Designed for the way the space will actually be used.

A plan should look like someone stood in the yard. Where do you walk, where does the sun hit at 6pm, where do the kids actually play? Beauty here isn't decoration, it's the plan fitting the life lived in the space.

  4. 04 / BUY-ABLE

    Buy-able.

Mapped to budget bands the homeowner can act on. No surprises in the bid. No second design.

Every plan carries a budget map across material tiers, so you know before you bid whether it lands at $12k or $40k, and can phase it if it needs to. No one draws a plan you can't afford to build and calls it done.

How it works

Three steps. No mystery.

From the first photo to a contractor-ready PDF, the process is the same for every project.

STEP 01

Site assessment.

You share photos, dimensions, sun and drainage notes. We do a video walk-through or visit in person if you're local. 60 to 90 minutes, $150.

STEP 02

The drafting table.

Within 5 business days you receive a concept sketch with two directions and a plant palette. Pick one, we build the full CAD plan.

STEP 03

Build-ready PDF.

Scaled CAD plan, planting schedule, hardscape layout, budget map. The $150 credits toward the full plan. Hand it to a contractor.

See the standard on your own site.

The $150 consultation is the first test, we read the site and tell you, honestly, what it will take to build well.
